Ajlan is the Chief of Strategy and Business Development Division at Qatar Rail where he leads strategic initiatives to achieve Qatar Rail's long-term business objectives. Ajlan has more than 20 years of experience in projects and technical affairs in Oil and Gas sector.

Ajlan joined Qatar Rail as the Communications & Marketing Director, earlier to that Ajlan served as  the Director of Government & Public Relations at Dolphin Energy Ltd. where he was responsible for implementing various communications annual work programs and coordinating with the concerned departments on those programs. He was also responsible for implementing various corporate communications programs and managing integrated relationship with Qatari authorities and local communities. Ajlan has successfully lead and conducted major events including stone lying and inauguration of major projects and participating in renowned oil and gas conferences.

Prior to Dolphin, Ajlan worked with Qatar Petroleum for five years as Production Supervisor and Senior Planning Engineer.

Apart from his distinguished career, Ajlan is also a celebrated sports personality having participated in major local and regional sports events in Asia.
